Ongoing treatment planning

Including CPAP fitting tailored to each patient

Who is this for?

  • Anyone who snores loudly, or has been observed to stop breathing while asleep
  • People who wake unrefreshed, with morning headaches or frequent daytime sleepiness
  • People carrying extra weight or with an existing condition (hypertension, heart disease) alongside sleep problems

How the care works

  1. 1

See a doctor for history-taking and an initial risk assessment

  2. 2

Book the study. In hospital or with a home device, whichever suits

  3. 3

Our team analyses a full night of sleep data

  4. 4

Your doctor explains the results and plans treatment (behavioural change, breathing support, or specialist referral)

Why KMC Hospital

Results are read alongside your overall health history, not as numbers from a machine.

If a contributing cause turns up, upper airway problems, for instance, physiotherapy and rehabilitation are in the same hospital.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to stay overnight at the hospital?

In some cases a portable home device is enough, your doctor will decide what suits your case.

How long does the test take?

It records through one full night of sleep, with a separate appointment to review the results.

Does ordinary snoring need testing?

Snoring alone may not. See a doctor if there are pauses in breathing, heavy daytime sleepiness, or an existing condition alongside it.
